Through deliberate reduction, presence, and restraint, through texture and depth, through careful observation and attentive listening – we create spaces with identity.

Interior design is far more than mere aesthetics for us. It is a process of understanding individual living, working, and business needs. With sensitivity to various parameters and a strong sense of proportion, emotion, and tactile quality, we develop spatial concepts with character and significance.

Spaces are like people: individual, complex, and full of stories. Our task is to make these stories visible. In doing so, context takes center stage. How does a space harmonize with its surroundings and the function that shapes it? Through our work, we aim to create balance – between aesthetics and functionality, permanence and lightness, people and space.

Every material has its own language, its own texture, its own depth. Our task is to showcase these materials and highlight their natural essence.

We choose materials that not only captivate aesthetically but are also ecologically and functionally well-considered. Whether raw and untreated or artfully refined – every material contributes to the atmosphere of a space.

Spaces do not come into being on their own – they are the result of an intensive interplay of ideas, skills, and passion. Our team is a collective of architects, designers, and creative minds dedicated to creating places with soul. With a profound understanding of materials, precision in planning, and an instinct for context, we work hand in hand to bring unique interior concepts to life.

Whether private spaces or public places, we design interior architecture that inspires and endures.

A think tank in the alpine region. A studio shaped by the power of its surroundings.

Subtle craftsmanship

Minds that design. Hands that bring ideas to life. When vision meets craftsmanship.

For us, craftsmanship is not just a process but an attitude. It means valuing the material, working with precision, and planning holistically. In close collaboration with experienced artisans and specialists, we create spaces that impress through quality and durability. A good design only gains its true value through precise execution – from the first sketch on paper to the final screw.

A space is truly successful when it feels as if it has always existed – and yet still surprises. Every project begins with an initial conversation – we look forward to it.

FAQs

Reinhard Strasser Interior Architects is an internationally operating interior architecture studio based in Fügen, in the Zillertal valley of Tyrol, Austria. The studio develops individual and sophisticated concepts for high-end interior architecture and interior design – for private residences, villas, chalets and penthouses, as well as hotels, restaurants, spas, wellness areas, commercial spaces and showrooms.

The focus is on a holistic approach in which architecture, interior space, materials, lighting, functionality, furnishings and building services are brought together into a coherent overall concept. Reinhard Strasser accompanies projects from the initial idea through concept development, design, planning and tendering to implementation, working closely with selected consultants, specialists and skilled craftsmen.

Interior architecture takes a holistic approach to space. In addition to design and furnishings, spatial structure, proportions, materials, lighting, functionality and atmosphere play a central role. Technical requirements such as lighting, ventilation, heating, air conditioning, acoustics and electrical planning are also integrated into the design concept at an early stage and, wherever possible, seamlessly and discreetly incorporated into the architecture.

Reinhard Strasser develops spatial concepts from the very beginning and accompanies them through concept design, detailed planning and tendering to construction and implementation. The aim is to create a coherent relationship between architecture, interior space, building services and furnishings, without allowing technical elements to compromise the architectural and aesthetic quality of the space.

Reinhard Strasser Interior Architects works from Tyrol on national and international interior architecture projects. The studio’s main focus is the DACH region – Austria, Germany and Switzerland. In addition, the studio develops and realizes projects for private and commercial clients internationally.

Completed projects range from the Zillertal valley to Lech am Arlberg, Kitzbühel, Vienna and Munich, as well as Switzerland, Dubai and Abu Dhabi. International projects include, among others, the interior architecture of the EOME Residences on the West Crescent of Palm Jumeirah in Dubai.

The portfolio encompasses high-end residential and commercial interior architecture. Projects include private residences, villas and chalets, penthouses and lofts, hotels and restaurants, spa and wellness areas, as well as commercial, handover and exhibition spaces.

Completed projects include the Austria Gourmet & Wine Hotel in Obergurgl, Le Chalet in Oberlech, the Neuhaus Restaurant, the EMPL handover hall, and the interior architecture of the EOME Residences on the West Crescent of Palm Jumeirah in Dubai – an exclusive development comprising 24 villas and a clubhouse.

These projects are representative of a wide range of further completed interior architecture projects in Austria and internationally.

Every project begins with a personal consultation to understand the client’s individual wishes, requirements and expectations. Based on this dialogue, Reinhard Strasser develops an individual spatial and design concept, illustrated through initial designs and photorealistic visualisations.

This is followed by detailed interior architecture planning, the development of materials and surface finishes, the selection of furniture and furnishings, and the coordination of all relevant technical and construction details.

Following the tendering process, the concept is implemented in close collaboration with specialist consultants, technical experts and selected craftsmen. This ensures that the original design concept is consistently maintained from the first sketch through to completion.

Reinhard Strasser operates a state-certified and authorised engineering office and is certified as an Interior Architect by BO:IA (council or austrian interior architects, member of ECIA and IFI).

In 2022, the studio received the FritsJurgens Award for Best Pivot Door.

In 2025, this was followed by the BigSEE Interior Design Award.

The design approach is characterised by clear forms, conscious reduction and the considered use of high-quality materials, combined with a strong sense of proportion, atmosphere and tactility.

Influenced by the alpine landscape of Tyrol, Reinhard Strasser creates spaces with a distinct identity, bringing aesthetics and functionality, precision and naturalness, permanence and lightness into balance.

Rather than following short-lived trends, the focus is on timeless design with lasting aesthetic and functional quality.

Yes. Hotel, gastronomy, hospitality and wellness projects form an important part of the studio’s portfolio. Reinhard Strasser develops individual interior architecture concepts for hotels, restaurants, suites, lounges, bars and spa areas.

References include the Austria Gourmet & Wine Hotel in Obergurgl, Le Chalet in Oberlech, the Neuhaus Suites, the Neuhaus Restaurant, Buffet and Bar, as well as several spa and wellness projects.

The aim is to create spaces that combine functionality, high-quality design and a distinctive atmosphere, offering guests a memorable and unique spatial experience.

The studio works with high-quality, ecologically conscious and functionally considered materials, featuring a wide range of surfaces and tactile qualities – from natural and untreated to individually refined and crafted finishes.

Wood, natural stone, metal, mineral surfaces and textiles are carefully selected and combined. The focus is not on the quantity of materials used, but on their quality, proportion, tactility and interaction.

Each material is selected and presented in a way that highlights its natural texture, depth and inherent value. The result is interiors characterised by warmth, character and a timeless atmosphere.
